Brendan Kilbane, MD

Brendan J. Kilbane, MD, is an emergency medicine physician in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Kilbane is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine and is certified in advanced trauma life support, pediatric advanced life support and advanced cardiac life support. His special interests are pediatric emergency medicine and urgent care. 

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind., and earned his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine, Dayton, Ohio. He completed a pediatrics residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Ill. Dr. Kilbane was appointed to the UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital staff in 2007. 

Dr. Kilbane has authored or coauthored scientific papers and abstracts in leading medical journals. He speaks at regional, national and international medical meetings about pediatric emergency care and urgent care. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Irish American Paediatric Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
